Registration

---

• Every patient who wishes to avail services at Medayu hospitals and clinics needs to be registered with us.
• The patient needs to carry his photo ID (e.g. Aadhar, PAN, Driving License etc.) for registration process.
• The patient will be issued a QR code once the registration is complete which can be used for seamless and hassle free experience at Medayu Hospitals and clinics.

Prepare For OPD Services

---

• Please report at appointment time.
• Be prepared with health complaints or queries which you wish to ask to consultant.
• Kindly carry all your relevant old medical records and current medication/prescription.
• OPD charges are to be paid at Registration & Billing Desk before consultation/service.
• OPD consultation charges vary as per consultants.
• Follow-up consultation is valid for 3 months from the date of first consultation.
• OPD consultation charges are accepted in cash / digital payment

Registration

---

• Every patient who wishes to avail services at MedAyu hospitals and clinics needs to be registered with us.

• The patient will be issued a QR code once the registration is complete which can be used for seamless and hassle free experience at MedAyu Hospitals and clinics.

Pre Admission

---

• Admission process will be initiated upon recommendation by consultant at MedAyu Hospital.
• Admission request form is submitted for reservation of desired room category. Your desired bed /class of room is subjected to availability. Reservation does not confirm the bed of your choice. While all efforts will be made to give bed/class of choice, this may not be always possible and will entirely depend upon availability during admission. You will be informed accordingly.
• Estimate for expected length of stay of admission will be provided. If you wish to avail insurance services kindly complete the insurance formalities to obtain pre-approval. Our staff will assist you in obtaining the pre-approval.
• Please make payment of Rs 10000/- for reservation. Payment is refundable within 30 days.
• We request only one attendant to stay with patient in ward, till discharge. In such case, single occupancy room needs to be selected.

Admission

---

• On admission, In patient admission registration will be done and bed will be allotted to you.
• Patient and legal kin of the patient need to sign consent form.
• Kindly make a deposit of 25% of expected amount at time of admission. (non refundable deposit). This can be done by Cash or by any digital methods. If payment is made during reservation, deposit will be adjusted against it.
• Staff will educate the patient to the ward and the facilities available.
• Patient will then be reassessed by the ward RMO – this involves taking a detailed medical history and ordering of tests if necessary.
• The daily routine in the ward includes activities such as ward rounds by doctors, prescribed treatment/procedure, medication, meals, visiting hours and bedtime.
• Patient is advised to remain within the hospital premises until the concerned doctor discharges them.

What to carry

---

• The patient needs to carry his photo ID (e.g. Aadhar, PAN, Driving License etc.) for admission process.
• All medical Records like X-Rays, MRI’s, health histories, photographs, immunization records, prescriptions and any other health records relevant to the treatment. Remember to carry all current medication along with you.
• Pair of comfortable clothes and footwear.

What NOT to carry

---

• Jewellery & valuable items
• Large amounts of cash
• We cannot guarantee the safety of these items if left unattended. If absolutely necessary, valuables can be locked in the hospital’s safe, where they will remain until you are discharged.
• You are also expected to take responsibility for your eyeglasses, hearing aids and/or dentures.
• Sharps, weapons and inflammable are strictly prohibited

Meals for patients & Attendants

---

• Patient Meals will be provided as prescribed by the doctor and according to meal plan
• The hospital kitchen is equipped to serve well-balanced vegetarian meals.
• The patient’s attendant will be served meals on a chargeable basis.
• Standard Meal plan includes: Tea/coffee, Breakfast, Lunch, fruits, Dinner We request you to provide accurate information about your habits, allergies, likes and dislikes to serve you better.
• Consumption of alcohol, smoking, drugs, chewing gum and spitting are strictly prohibited and punishable . You are being watched. Area is under CCTV surveillance.

Discharge & Follow Up

---

• Discharge will be initiated on consultant recommendation
• Patient needs to clear all dues before discharge
• Patient is handed over with detailed discharge summary, follow-up treatment, daily routine diet, and medical prescription.
• Physical copies of your reports pending during discharge, will be emailed to you or couriered as per your preference.
• Ensure to carry all medical records brought during admission.

Visitors Information

---

• One attendant can stay with the patient 24X7 on the attendant pass.
• Visitors will be allowed only during the visiting hours.
• Inpatient rooms: 5.00pm-7.00pm
• The patient’s medical records and information on their medical condition are confidential. We will only share this information with the patient and the next-of-kin. If the immediate family members wish to know more about the patient’s condition, they can approach reception desk to arrange for convenient time to meet the concerned doctor.

Registration

---

• Day-care treatment does not require an overnight hospital stay.
• Day Care room charges are Rs. 1500/- up to 8 hours beyond that Rs. 250 per hour till 12 hours and beyond 12 hours charged as full day as per the opted room category.
• Charges will as per bed/class of room selected.

Billing

---

• Charges for all in-patients will be as per the package selected and in case package is not selected individual rates as per bed/class of room will be applicable.
• Charges for all the hospital services, excluding medicines and consumables, will vary based upon the room type.
• Reservation: Will be confirmed against advance payment of the total booking amount.
• Cancellation : Free cancellation is permitted only if it is made before 30 days prior to the date of arrival. If not, the half amount of reservation will be charged.
• Insurance/Corporate patients: Rs. 5000/- is taken for non-medical items which are not paid by TPAs. The patient needs to sign a consent letter promising that in case TPA/company denies the payment of treatment, the entire payment will be made by the patient and the issue with TPA will be sorted by Patient.
• Package charge will include accommodation, patient food charges, treatment charges, prescribed medicine, consumables, disposables used during length of stay, doctor and Nurse charges, Physical therapy charges and access to facilities. Any deviation from package items will be charges extra.
• Investigation charges, Procedure/Surgery charges, Pharmacy bills, Consumables, Fruits, Diet of relative and any other services availed will be charged extra.
• Facilities like laundry, extra meals and beverages, pick and drop in city etc are chargeable.
• All patients will be able to downgrade and upgrade the room type on request & availability. Any down gradation will come into effect from the day down gradation is requested which means that the rate of lower bed type will be applicable from allotment day. However, any up gradation request shall have all rates hiked to the upgraded class from day 1 of admission.
• 25% deposit of expected amount at time of admission. Deposit will be adjusted at the time of final billing.
• During the course of the patients stay in the Hospital, provisional bills will be sent to the patient in order to make further payments. On receiving the provisional bill, the patient will have to clear the amount on the date mentioned on the provisional bill. At the time of discharge, a final bill is made by the Billing section. The final bill is made only after all the discharge formalities are completed. You may find significant differences in the final bill and the provisional bill. This is due to the fact that certain charges will be levied and shown in the final bill only.
• Final settlement of all bills is mandatory before discharge.
• Billing cycle:
  • 24 hours billing cycle – Room charges will be levied for each 24 hours cycle from the time & date of admission.
  • Up to 8 hours of stay (in a billing day) would be billed as Half Day Stay and beyond 8 hours shall be billed as Full Day.At the time of discharge, a grace period of 2 hours will be given and shall not attract additional charges.
• IP Consultation Policy:
  • Admitting doctor will be entitled to maximum of two IP visits per day and one emergency visit (if required) per consultant per patient in every 24 hours.
  • In ICU/Recovery, two visits for the admitting doctor and two visits for Intensivist visit per day will be charged.
  • Visiting consultant charges will be as per visit.
  • Night Emergency timings are from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. 50% additional charge on above charges will be applicable.
  • If the Consultant is present in Hospital, no extra charge for Emergency reference (expect for normal tariff) will be levied.
• Taxes as applicable by Govt. notification from time to time will be charged extra.
• Hospital charges and the above rules are always subject to changes as decided from time to time.

General Guidelines

• A hygienic environment is essential for your health; help us to maintain our standards.
• Please keep noise to a minimum to avoid inconvenience to other patients & relatives.
• Consumption of alcohol, smoking, chewing gum and spitting are strictly prohibited.
• Use the dustbins for disposal of any waste.
• Keep the toilets clean and dry.
• Outside food is not allowed for the patients except in certain situation by the written permission of treating Consultant and Dietician.
• Please keep your mobile on silent mode when you visit the hospital.
• We take pride in serving you. Giving tips is prohibited.
• Visitor’s Lounges are for the use of multiple visitors; please be respectful of others while using these spaces.
• In the interest of patient’s health, do not visit with an infectious disease, such as a cold or flu.
• We encourage you to use hand sanitizer or wash your hands often to keep family safe.
• Management reserves the right of entry of visitors for the safety of patients Please abide by the rules.
